Rapper 'Proof' of D12 Killed at Detroit Nightclub

How ironic is it that a former D12 member "Bugz" was shot and killed just six years ago?

Proof, whose real name is Deshaun Holton was shot to death early Tuesday when an arguement escalated into gunfire at a nightclub along Eight Mile Road. He was only 32 years old. The same age I am, much to young to die!

Proof, Eminem's longtime friend, appeared in the film "8 Mile" as Lil' Tic. He was also Eminem's
best man when the rapper remarried Kim Mathers in January. Of course I know you all heard Eminem is on his way to divorce court again!

Prior to his death, as a part of D12, Proof enjoyed platinum success with their debut, Devil's Night in 2001, and D12 World in 2004, which produced the hit single "My Band."

D12's initial success was no doubt aided by the high-profile presence of member Eminem, as well as lyrics that took his provocative topics to another twisted, incendiary level. This doe not discount that fact that, D12 also consists of five other Detroit rappers, who were already established and respected before Eminem blew up larger than life.

This is so sad. I feel for his family and friends. And for Enimen, he was so close to him.
It's a shame and the local news already picked up the irony of him dying on 8 Mile. Out of all the rappers both local and nationally Proof wasn't on my list of rappers who'll get shot.

R.I.P. Proof Detroit will miss you.
I cant remember, but was he the one who played the shotting victim in the "Toy Soldiers" video?

I cant believe he is gone. RIP
Peace and Blessings
I can't believe either and now they are talking about he may have fired the first shot. I need to read up on the lastest on this.
Every indication is that he shot the bouncer in the head first. This is some crazy shyt to happen on a Monday night at 4:00 am in the morning.

8 Mile is not nearly as bad as it's portrayed nationally. It's actually a major road that moves so fast, you can barely see what's going on. Some of Detroit best neighborhoods border 8 Mile Road.
