And I am so damn glad!

I can’t even tell you how happy I am that today is Friday and today is pay day for me – WOOHOO!!!

This is one of those months where we get 3 checks, so this is almost like unaccounted for money – cha ching!!!

What shall I buy, what shall I buy??

Hmmmf, listen to me talking about what should I buy. I know that the "Financially Sound" Single Mom would not agree.

Single Mom please give a sista some advice on what she could do with a couple of extra dollars, that would be financially responsible, maybe like 1/2 of my check!
Please, before I blow it and have nothing to show for it (but perhaps some new clothes)!!!

Well, thank goodness we've almost made it through another week!

I had a rough, busy azz day at work yesterday. Jeez! They have truly been making me pay for taking those couple of days off. Damn!

When I got off I just went to the salon to get my hair done, went to the sub shop to grad a sandwich, and home I went.

Okay, so I'm getting ready to get snug in my bed last night and I thought to myself:

"Self, you should take some pics of your hair do before you mess it up. Besides you can use the pics for future style ideas."

I love messing around with my camera anyway. I’m always taking crazy pics, 90% of which you will not see here (smile).

Anyhoo, since I took the pics I decided to post a couple of them.

What do you think? There are also twists going up the back, but I forgot to post the pic. Do you like it or no? Well actually if you don’t like it, please don’t post that here. You may hurt my feelings (smiles). And don't be talking about my shiny forehead either!

I was getting ready for bed dang it, LOL!

I though that it was cute and very low maintenance. I guess now I can stop using my hair as an excuse for not exercising ;-)

Why did I wake up 2 hours before I needed to and could not go back to sleep? I hate it when that happens.

I am in desperate need of a cocktail! Yes -- i realize that I am posting this at 7am --- and what?

I'm stressed okay!?!?!A long massage followed by a immense orgasm wouldn’t be bad either.

I take a couple of days off from work and do you know what I come back to?

Deadlines, Deadlines, Deadlines!!!!

I did not finish work yesterday until 8:30pm because I had an assignment that is due today at 8am. WTF??? Of course you know I brought that shit home with me because there was no way in hell that I was gonna stay at work until I finished!

I just do not understand how the time goes by so fast!

Now don't get me wrong, I really like my job it's just alot of work at times.

Well it's back to work for me today. Yep my four day weekend/mini vacation is OVER.

I did not get a chance to come up with something interesting to talk about today (my brain is still on vacation), although I did want to share something that a friend of mind sent to me in case you have not seen it before.

I thought it was funny so enjoy. I will be catching up on my blog reading today when I get home from work so I can see what's going on in your world!

The Weekend

Goodness gracious!

I am so sleepy and tired. I just got back in town from a long weekend with family and friends.

That was a long drive (6 hours) along the Florida Turnpike and if it were not for the items below I would not have made it home. I know the creators/owners of these products are mega rich!

I was so damn sleepy dring home. Then about two hours away from home I had a severe allergy attack for some reason. My eyes were watering, I was sneezing my damn head off, my lips were swelling, and itching like crazy. WTF???

Can you imagine going through that bullshyt while you are already sleepy and trying to drive? I was miserable to say the least.

Thank goodness I took today off so that I could rest and recuperate from the weekend. Besides I hate Monday's anyway!

We truly did have a great time. I got some shopping done, but not as much as I wanted to. I need some more spring/summer shoes and they sell great shoes in Ft. Lauderdale. Oh well, I guess I'll get some the next time I visit or have my sister to bring me some since she is coming here next month.

My sister’s new house is absolutely beautiful and the house warming party was the best. The party was a lot of fun and there was a great turn out.

We played cards, Taboo, and ice breaker type games. In the games, we played guys against the girls so you can imagine how competitive it was and the guys were cheating of course, LOL. Every time I think about it I just laugh to myself because it was so damn funny and we had so much fun!

We had crab cakes, wings, cake, deviled eggs, chicken salad, pasta salad, jerk pork, cheese and veggie trays, steak stuffed spring rolls, you name it!

What it is bloggers?

First, I want to apologize for not getting around to all of your sites as much lately. I have been swamped and I am desperately in need of some R-n-R. I'll be catching up on everyones blog when I get back in town.

Yes Superstar Nic is on her way outta town today for four wonderful days of shopping, partying, drinking, and pure unadulterated fun!

I’m going to visit my sister in Fort Lauderdale. She is having a partying on Saturday night and I will be in the place to be. My sisters, my mom, and one of my aunts will be there so it’s kinda like a mini family reunion for us this weekend.

It is so beautiful down there! I just love it. I had considered moving there, but I'm starting to look at other places now. It's just too damn hot down there for me. I don't know.

The only thing that could make it better is if I did not have to go to work today. Oh yeah and if it was so damn far. Six hours hours may not sound like alot but that is a long as time driving by yourself!

~Sigh~

But at least I’m getting off at 2pm. So Imma go ahead and get on the road so I can get most of my driving out of the way before it gets too dark.

Anyhoo, I catch yawl when I get back!

How many of you remember "Good Times"?

A friend of mine sent me some pictures today that were taken at the "Good Times" Reunion. The pics really brought back some memories because I used to really love that show when I was growing up.

"Good Times" was a ratings smash right away, the 17th most popular show of the 1973-74 season. The concept was daring - relevant, controversial topics tackled with humor, but from an African-American perspective.

Have you heard the latest?

Well you know I ain't one to gossip, but apparently the word on the streets is that Carey Kelly, the younger brother of R-&-B singer/song writer/producer R. Kelly, went on a New York radio station last week and aired all of the singer's dirty laundry and little indiscretions.

Carey accused his older brother, the self proclaimed "World's Greatest", of being bi-sexual. Did you here me? I said bi-sexual!

Now I admit, I knew that he was a freak, but I never would have come up with bisexual. Not that it's necessarily true...I'm just sayin'.

Carey also claims that Kelly has engaged in sexual acts with his 12-year-old cousin. I hope that this is not true, because the thought of it is so disgusting and sick! If is a lie, I cannot imagine why Carey would accuse his older brother of doing something so deplorable!

Carey accuses Kelly of not properly paying for his mother's burial and tombstone. Now, what does he mean by "properly paying for"? Did he pay for it or not? Make up your mind!

Last but not least, Carey stated that one of the under-aged girls in the R. Kelly sex tape is the niece of R-&-B songstress Sparkle. We already knew that though. Carey Kelly has released or will release (not sure on which) a tell-all D-V-D about his brother's lifestyle practices called "The Drama Never Ends".

So tell me, do you think the brother is telling the truth? Is he lying just to try to make money? Is R. Kelly really that deviant? What ya think is REALLY going on?

What’s up bloggers?

Not much going on with me. So far, my weekend has been great. It’s hard for me not to have a great weekend. Any time I don’t have to go to work is a great day for me, plus I’m not hard to please and it’s VERY easy to keep me entertained.

I haven’t done much this weekend, just a little shopping (I’m always ready for shopping) and I went to a hair show last night. That was pretty interesting. I talk more about that later in the week when I get the pictures so that I can post them to.

I’m not ready for work tomorrow. I cannot understand why in the hell the weekends go by so fast?

Dammit man!

One of my friends emailed this ugly azz shyt to me. When I saw I was like WTF? It is so damn ugly and scary looking.

Ain’t a damn thang going on with me. I’m just chillin. I happy as hell today is Friday and it’s payday. It don’t get no better than that!

The only thing that has me aggravated is that I have like four damn meetings to go to today. I’m like WTF?

On Friday’s I like to try to chill out a little bit, chat with my coworkers, and tie up loose ends for the week, not be jacked up in damn meetings all day. What’s even worse is that one of the meetings goes until close of business. Now why in the hell would they do that?

Anyone doing anything special this weekend? Please tell me so I can live vicariously through you.

What's Up?

Why is it that I cannot seem to get my azz up in the mornings for work? I am slowly but surely inching my way back to my old trick of being late all the damn time. I guess I’ve made to the three month mark at my job and now I’m tripping!

~Sigh~

I have my 3-month performance evaluation coming up in a couple of weeks and I’m sorta nervous about it. No, not because I'm late, lol.

I find myself questioning whether or not I’m meeting their expectations? It is SO much information that I still need to learn for this position. There are so many projects within the chronic dz bureau that I work in and I have to know all about them in order to evaluate them. I never realized how overwhelming it could be. I feel like I’m back in school and I’m studying to pass some major test!

I don’t know – I just don’t know.

I mean I’m not comfortable with the information just yet. I feel like I still need more training and time to learn, but what if they feel I should have everything down pat by now? What will I do?

I’ll try not to worry about it to much but I just can’t help it. I am a worry wart! I just want to do a good job.
